Our Amagasu Flitch was inspired by a chance encounter with a single piece of wood in 2004. The top is a highly burled, eye-catching stunner. Versatile beyond compare, the design morphs from cocktail table, to bench, to display console without missing a beat.

Loving this Leopold bench I just finished for a client in Oklahoma. The open square legs are so chic yet so stable. I think I’ll keep it here by the window until he picks it up in a few weeks.

The completed eight-foot Chevron table—with its awesome new open-square legs—gets ready for its voyage to CA.

My current pride and joy - the glorious Whitworth table - made from 2” thick cedar and evergreen trunks cut by us from our own property. A table like this comes along once in a great while. It’s dinner party time. 

My favorite guy in my favorite space. 

This original Higbee table started the whole ball rolling. 

My lovely friend Krista asked me to create a desk for her husband as an anniversary present. This beautiful bookmatched cedar showed up within the month, and I spent the next few weeks on the sanding, joining, and finish work. My goal was for the top to be smooth enough for paper to slide across, but unfinished enough so that the natural cedar scent would still come through.

I learned to weld from the fabulous Dan Sellers at Dallas’ Creative Arts Center. The studio’s shed is my dream come true.
